FAQ & Troubleshooting

Find answers to common questions and solutions to frequent issues.

Common Issues

Windows SmartScreen blocks the installer

This is normal for new software that hasn't built up a reputation with Microsoft yet.

Solution: Click "More info" then "Run anyway". The app is safe - this warning appears for all new unsigned software.

Clicks aren't registering in my application

Some applications ignore software-generated input for security reasons.

Solution: Try enabling "Hardware Input Mode" in Settings. This uses a different method to simulate clicks that works with more applications.

Color trigger isn't firing

The pixel color might be slightly different than when you captured it.

Solutions:

  • • Increase the tolerance value (try 20-30)
  • • Make sure the target window is in the exact same position
  • • Check that nothing is overlapping the trigger point (tooltips, notifications)
  • • Recapture the trigger at the same time of day (lighting changes can affect colors)

App shows "Python backend not connected"

The automation engine didn't start properly.

Solutions:

  • • Close and reopen Pixel Triggers
  • • Make sure no other instance of Pixel Triggers is running
  • • Check if your antivirus is blocking Python
  • • Try reinstalling the application

Sync isn't working

Your changes aren't appearing on other devices.

Solutions:

  • • Check your internet connection
  • • Make sure you're signed in on both devices
  • • Click "Sync Now" in Settings to force a sync
  • • Wait a moment - sync happens in the background

Game Compatibility

⚠️ Important: Many games prohibit automation tools in their Terms of Service. Using Pixel Triggers in games may result in account bans. Always check the game's rules before using automation.

Will Pixel Triggers work with my game?

Pixel Triggers uses standard Windows APIs for automation. It may or may not work depending on how the game handles input. Some games actively detect and block automated input.

Can I get banned for using this?

Possibly, yes. We do not guarantee that using Pixel Triggers is safe in any particular game. Use at your own risk. We are not responsible for any bans or penalties you may receive.

Tips for game automation

  • • Try Hardware Input Mode if clicks don't register
  • • Add small random delays to appear more natural
  • • Don't run automation 24/7
  • • Be aware of detection risks in online games
